The one new feature that I eagerly looked forward to was multiple-monitor support. Nowhere in the product details at the Quickbooks website is this information revealed. With large monitors it is almost a necessity to consider using larger icons and fonts. Of course, I have to reverse the process when I am done using multiple monitors in Quickbooks. As a long-time IT consultant to small businesses, I can say that Inuit should have made this feature work with a simple Windows display setting like scaling that seemingly has posed no issues for other software vendors.
Just be aware that this is a problem that Intuit should have been able to solve and at the very least should disclose prominently in their product literature and on their product boxes. Four stars because getting a copy of my ID and going inside to my PC is not an absolute necessity.
The software has been a disaster. Emailing invoices creates a "Com Error" shutting down the program. I called tech support who would give me no support because I purchased the product from Amazon rather than from Intuit. This is the 4 addition of QuickBooks I have owned and it will be the last. Hate it, but they have a Monopoly. In working with my local church as treasurer, I ordered this version to load onto my home computer.
Best price. Arrived and had a few minor issues to install onto my Win7 desktop. First, we had an older version of QB that my wife uses so make sure you do not over write that program. Once done, the program loaded up and started. Only update the critical updates. As with most programs, best to order a companion guide for setting up QB for non-profits. QB took their "standard" for profit accounting system and modified to run for non-profits. Even for churches, you have to set up QB to handle a modified fund accounting using Classes.
A true non-profit fund accounting program would be best, but most church administrators would have a hard time. Also, have to learn work around for annual donor letters.
YouTube has some great lessons on how to modify QB to do these. Advised that one must convert data to an interim version say, QB , and then convert up to this version. This results in either A. You have to write them down destroying their purpose or B. Forget them resulting in a major hassle.
